Project Overview
Overview Celebrating a landmark 60th anniversary, 2016 has been an outstanding year for Premier Modular, one of the UK's leading innovators in modular construction. Delivering a range of pioneering products using the best sustainable resources, our commitment to continuous improvement ensures products remain market-leading in all aspects.
We have all seen the reports on the on-going housing crisis. The prediction is that at least 200,000 new homes will need to be built year on year until 2020 to avert this situation. A big part of the answer has to be Offsite, Premier developed their housing product on the back of this and have been poised and ready to go for at least two years.
The North Ferriby, Hull site came on the back of our first affordable housing site, the development is a high quality private sale site comprising a 2-storey building providing four luxury apartments in the grounds of an existing grade two listed Manor House also owned by the client. To complement the Georgian Manor House exterior bespoke floor level arched windows and a rustic brick finish were incorporated into the design to deliver a carriage-house style. The large open plan design, arched windows and doorways into adjoining rooms pushed the light gauge steel frame to its design limits. The large 12m x 4.8m modules are the biggest that can be achieved using this material. These characteristics as well as the overall fit out of the building when compared with other projects Premier have undertaken demonstrates the real design flexibility that exists within Premier's systems.
The 2-storey building offers 3no 95m2 2-bedroomed apartments and 1no 3-bedroomed apartment of 105m2. Each apartment has an en-suite to the Master Bedroom and additional bathroom whilst the kitchen-dining area flows into a generous 21m2 sitting area with a large feature window in both the kitchen-dining and sitting areas.
