Project Overview

An impressive six storey, tightly curved 130 bedroom Premier Inn development for Cathedral Group located in Bromley, London. The new hotel is at the heart of the £90m Bromley South Central regeneration scheme, a mixed use initiative aimed at transforming Bromley town centre that also includes 200 residential apartments, a nine screen cinema, nine retail units, a 400 space underground car park and a landscaped public square.

Far from being a straightforward offsite SFS build, the project required ambitious complex shapes, a tight curved façade and curved corners. In addition, the hotel development was specified to deliver an 'Excellent' BREEAM rating as part of the scheme's environmental credentials.

With time constraints also being a major factor, we will show how the complete supply chain collaborated to ensure the best possible lead times and results.

The tight city centre location, one site access point and challenging on-site logistics required a high degree of logistical planning to ensure that materials were delivered to site as required, to minimise disruption and to ensure that Mansell Finishes' involvement in the project remained on course for handover to the Main Contractor, McLaren Construction.
