A Site Manager at a Midland's housebuilder has received a prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) 'Pride in the Job' award.
Ian Larkins, Site Manager at Redrow Midland's Amington Garden Village, in Tamworth, has been awarded the 'Seal of Excellence' for his work on the large development.
In existence for more than 40 years, the NHBC 'Pride in the Job Awards 2022' is a highly-regarded competition in the industry and recognises exceptional site managers.
To receive an award, site managers must score highly in all areas of build and site management including quality of workmanship, technical expertise, health and safety and leadership. Judges look for meticulous attention to detail and the special qualities and attributes that set quality, award-winning site managers apart from the rest.
Ian joined Redrow Midlands in 2017 as Site Manager overseeing the sought-after Amington Garden Village. In its first year, the Redrow Midlands development sold 67 homes and, since then, 443 properties have been snapped up by homebuyers
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: "We all know what a hard worker Ian is, but to be recognised by NHBC is truly an honour. He is an excellent site manager and his passion is reflected within the Amington Garden Village development – which is a very popular place for homebuyers.
"The 'Pride in the Job Awards' is something all site managers aspire to win, so we're thrilled that Ian has now received one – it is thoroughly deserved."
Commenting on the honour, Ian said: "I am incredibly proud of my award and it feels like recognition for all of the work that has gone into this fantastic development.
"A project of this scale doesn't come without its challenges – for example, working around a major fuel line that serves most of the country took careful preparation and navigation! I also have a great team around me who consistently deliver quality work. The last five years has made me very proud – and even more now I'm holding this award!"
Amington Fairway, Amington Green and now Eagle Gate at Amington are part of the popular Amington Garden Village development, which offers a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties. These sought-after homes are part of Redrow's award-winning Heritage Collection and located just three miles from Tamworth's town centre. The development provides a rural setting with excellent commuter links, including easy reach of the A5, M42 and M6 Toll.
