Rounding off a highly-successful second day, the third annual Offsite Expo came to a close following two days packed with networking, industry engagement, learning opportunities, and demonstrations from the most innovative businesses in the offsite sector.
The event has given visitors, organisers, and exhibitors much to reflect on, providing numerous examples of how offsite is leading the way in cutting-edge technologies, practices, and systems. The winners of the Offsite Awards - announced during the event and displayed alongside all finalists in a gallery - will be celebrating their recognition as leaders in their field of expertise. A full list of award-winners are available online at: www.offsiteawards.co.uk. Once again, the entrants displayed an incredible range and diversity of projects, builds, and products, creating a tough job for our judges.
The second day saw the continuation of the masterclass programme, with experts from Structural Timber Association, SMP Alliance, Metsec Voestalpine, and PCE amongst others offering sessions covering MEP & POD, Education, Structural Timber, Infrastructure, Precast Concrete, and Housing. The Spotlight on Offsite Theatre provided a full two days of industry panel discussions and audience Q&A’s, providing further detail and knowledge sharing, giving attendees up-to-date and valuable insight.
With thousands of construction professionals also in attendance as exhibitors, visitors, and as part of the Offsite Connect Buyers & Specifiers Forum - Offsite Expo has once again proven to be an invaluable networking opportunity.
Julie Williams, Business Development Director of Offsite Expo, spoke of the event’s success – ‘We are thrilled with the results of this year’s Offsite Expo, which has seen more people than ever taking part over the two days. It has been wonderful to hear so many positive comments from both those attending and those exhibiting. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who put so much work into organising the event, to see it run so smoothly and with such good feedback is a real achievement. I’d like to extend our thanks to all the exhibitors, speakers, delegates and Offsite Award participants.’
This year’s event may have come to a close, but there is no doubt we will see even more change and innovation taking effect throughout the offsite industry over the next twelve months and beyond. The success of events like Offsite Expo only goes to prove just how much skill, drive, and expertise there is across the sector and how offsite construction has an integral part to play in the future of the UK’s construction roadmap.
