Connect Modular, part of The Wee House Group, a leading provider of modular construction solutions, has delivered the first six amenity blocks to the Clinterty Travelling Persons site in Aberdeen. These amenity blocks will provide essential services to travellers, including kitchens, bathrooms and store facilities.
The amenity blocks were manufactured at Connect Modular's factory in Cumnock, Ayrshire, and transported to the site on flatbed trucks. The blocks were then lifted into place using a crane and connected to the site's utilities.
The £5.45 million project is jointly supported by Aberdeen City Council and The Scottish Government Gypsy/Traveller Accommodation Fund and is being delivered by Aberdeen City Council, MTM Construction and Connect Modular, who are constructing the amenity blocks serving 21 pitches.
Richard Reid, Acting CEO at Connect Modular, comments: "We're delighted to have delivered the first six amenity blocks to site. We look forward to the continued delivery of these blocks over the coming weeks and months and share excitement for the local area, seeing the amenity blocks craned into position, almost ready for use".
About Connect Modular Ltd
Connect Modular, part of The Wee House Group, is an established manufacturer of modular housing based in Cumnock, East Ayrshire.
Connect Modular specialises in the provision of affordable modular homes for housing associations and local councils. We have just completed a 63-home affordable housing development in Dundonald South Ayrshire for Riverside Scotland and are currently working on a new 101-home project for Cunninghame Housing Association in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire.
All houses are constructed off-site in our Ayrshire factory where they are completed to ceiling height and pre-fitted with kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and electrics. The houses are then transported to site and craned into position for the final construction works to be completed.
