Homes being built in Milton Keynes using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) have now been released for sale to the public, with Bellway putting a selection of its properties at the Tattenhoe Park development onto the market.
The housebuilder was selected by Homes England to build phase four of the major extension to the south-west of the city that was approved by Milton Keynes Council in October 2021, and is part of a pilot project aimed at speeding up the delivery of new homes through MMC.
A total of 160 new homes will be delivered at the site, with a mix of 112 properties for private sale and 48 affordable homes for local people through rent or shared ownership.
Luke Southgate, sales director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: "The demand for these new homes, which are being built in a way that will speed up delivery and improve quality, has been extremely strong ever since we announced our plans for this site."
"Due to the high level of interest, we have linked up with Elevation Estate Agents in Milton Keynes to bring the initial homes onto the market. The first releases feature a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments as well as a three-bedroom house, with the wider range of one to four-bedroom houses due to go on sale later this year."
Bellway's Tattenhoe Park development will feature 40 modular homes built at a factory before being transported to the site and connected to mains services. The remaining 120 homes will be built on site using timber frame panels instead of traditional block and brickwork. This makes the process faster and more sustainable while minimising weather-related delays.

Construction work began on the site in June 2022, with a sales office due to open in December and showhomes scheduled to be unveiled that same month.
When completed, the wider Tattenhoe Park scheme will form a new neighbourhood of more than 1,300 homes.
